Ricky is the friendliest emu we have ever had. He loves to be pet and also loves when you pick some fresh grass for him. He even eats right out of your hand. Hopefully someday he and his partner Lucy will hatch some baby emus. Sponsor him to follow his progress into fatherhood.
Rhea is the QUEEN of the emu area. She looks after Lucy and Ricky and makes sure they stay in line. She is probably the one you hear making the low drumming sound. She would love a sponsor and some fresh grass that she will take right out of your hand.
Earl was born here in October 2021. His proud parents are Jaynie and Angelo. He is strong and full of energy! Come sponsor him and watch him tear around the barnyard! He has the softest ears and kindest eyes.
I was saved from a high volume pig farm. I am so excited to be a part of Flamig Farm’s petting zoo. When I get bigger I am hopefully going to be Hamlet’s new girlfriend and possibly have some piglets of my own. I would love if you sponsor me and all my polka dots!

Caesar the alpaca came all the way to Connecticut from North Carolina! He was donated by a horsey friend of Julie’s who was relocating and wanted Caesar and his girlfriend Crouton to go to a great home. They have both been a wonderful addition to the farm!
Crouton the alpaca is Caesar’s girlfriend. They are inseparable and both came from a farm in North Carolina. She loves attention and is very excited with her new life in a petting zoo. We think her marking are adorable.
Trooper was a blind stray dog Farmer Julie found at a horse show in NC back in 2014. He has loved his new life here at Flamig Farm. Even though he is blind he sure is HAPPY! His tail is always wagging!
Dude is Farmer Pete’s pride and joy. He is always happy to see people and he loves going for swims in the pond out back! He sure is a pretty yellow lab!
Bud is a “Billy Goat” and is the proud Daddy of all the baby goats on the farm. His beard is the envy of many! He also has a very distinctive male goat smell! Sponsoring him will make him so happy since he feels he is the most important creature on the farm!
Charlotte is the BIGGEST sow on the farm! We have never actually gotten her to step on the scale but we guess she is close to 800 lbs! She enjoys wallowing in the mud on warm summer days. She is too old to have any piglets but not too old to have a sponsor.
